COVID-19

  • In Week 05, the incidence rate (IR), the testing rate (TR), and the positivity rate (PR) are all declining.

  • Oscour®: Stable number of emergency department visits in Week 05 (27 vs. 21 in Week 04, a 29% increase); 67% of visits resulted in hospitalization in Week 05 (vs. 62% in Week 04). Suspected COVID-19 cases accounted for 0.2% of emergency department activity across all age groups (compared to 0.1% in Week 4).

  • SOS Médecins: The number of SOS Médecins consultations doubled compared to the previous week, though the overall volume remained low (30 consultations). Suspected COVID-19 cases accounted for 0.7% of SOS Médecins activity in Week 5 (compared to 0.4% in Week 4). The number of consultations is low across all age groups.

Influenza and influenza-like illnesses

  • Epidemic activity.

  • Upward trend in SOS Médecins consultations and emergency room visits.

  • Increase in the detection of influenza B virus according to the virology laboratories at the Rennes and Brest university hospitals.

Acute gastroenteritis

  • High activity.

  • Increase in emergency room visits and SOS Médecins consultations for gastroenteritis across all age groups.
