COVID-19
Epidemiological indicators tracking the COVID-19 epidemic show that SARS-CoV-2 continues to circulate at high levels in our region, with a prolonged impact on mortality.
In Bourgogne-Franche-Comté during week 53 (December 28, 2020, to January 3, 2021), 6,855 people tested positive; the incidence rate was 246.3 per 100,000 inhabitants, and the positivity rate was 8.9%. These indicators are on the rise compared to Week 52.
In week 53, the positivity rate reached 11.2% in the Jura, 10.7% in Haute-Saône, 10.4% in the Doubs, 9.5% in the Territoire de Belfort, and 8.1% in Nièvre (Source: SI DEP).
Winter Epidemics
Bronchiolitis: Activity related to bronchiolitis among children under 2 years of age is once again decreasing for SOS Médecins and remains well below the levels observed during the two previous seasons in emergency departments.
Flu: Flu-related activity among SOS Médecins and emergency departments is currently low.
Gastroenteritis: The percentage of gastroenteritis cases among diagnoses made by SOS Médecins and hospital emergency departments remains well below the rates observed during the same week in previous seasons.
