Health Monitoring in the Bourgogne and Franche-Comté Regions. Update as of January 22, 2021.
Key Points
COVID-19
Epidemiological indicators of the COVID-19 pandemic show that SARS-CoV-2 continues to circulate at high levels, with a prolonged impact on mortality. Prevention and social distancing measures are essential to combat this pandemic, especially given the identification of new SARS-CoV-2 variants in France. The vaccination campaign targeted residents of nursing homes in late 2020 and is now being expanded to include those aged 75 and older.
Winter Epidemics
Flu: Flu-related activity at SOS Médecins and emergency departments remains low
Bronchiolitis: Activity related to bronchiolitis among children under 2 remains below the levels observed during the previous two seasons, both for SOS Médecins and for emergency departments
Gastroenteritis: SOS Médecins activity for gastroenteritis has remained stable over the past two weeks. Activity observed in emergency departments remains low, still below the levels seen during the previous two seasons.
