Health Monitoring in the Bourgogne and Franche-Comté Regions. Update as of February 19, 2021.
Key Points
COVID-19
Level remains high but is declining slightly.
Epidemiological indicators of the COVID-19 pandemic show that SARS-CoV-2 continues to circulate at high levels, with a prolonged impact on mortality. Even though indicators are declining significantly, it is necessary to maintain prevention and distancing measures, including among vaccinated individuals, given the identification of new variants.
referenceInfluenza
Flu-related activity at SOS Médecins and emergency departments remains low. This season, due to the active circulation of SARS-CoV-2, surveillance of flu cases hospitalized in intensive care has been expanded to include severe cases of COVID-19. No flu cases have currently been reported in the region by intensive care units.
Bronchiolitis
Activity related to bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age is not at epidemic levels. A recent upward trend in activity at emergency departments and SOS Médecins is being observed.
Gastroenteritis
Activity at SOS Médecins associations and emergency departments for gastroenteritis remains stable, though still below the trends observed during the previous two seasons.
