Food Consumption Among Children Aged 11–15 in Guadeloupe and Martinique

The role of lifestyle in the development of chronic diseases has been well established, starting from early childhood. Several studies report high rates of overweight and obesity among children in the Caribbean. Therefore, fostering healthy eating habits plays a key role in disease prevention. In Guadeloupe and Martinique, dietary habits have changed significantly since 1980. Consequently, public health initiatives aimed at preventing these risks require an update of current knowledge regarding the diets of children and adolescents.
