Epidemiological Situation

In Guadeloupe, the number of clinically suspected dengue cases reported by the network of private general practitioners has exceeded the seasonal threshold for five consecutive weeks. However, a slight stabilization of these figures has been observed over the past three weeks. Two new outbreaks have been identified in Sainte-Rose (Sofaïa) and Le Moule (Résidence Barbadine). Since July 2019, the number of clinically suspected dengue cases is estimated at 1,400, with 62% occurring in the past four weeks.

In Saint Martin, since July 2019, there have been an estimated 69 clinically suspected cases of dengue, 70% of which occurred in the past four weeks, marking a resurgence of dengue transmission in the territory.
