Anonymous and Free HIV Testing Services (CDAG): Report on HIV Testing Activities, France, 2000

Free and anonymous screening clinics (CDAG) were established in 1988 within healthcare facilities and venereal disease clinics to facilitate HIV testing by addressing concerns related to cost or lack of confidentiality. These "main" CDAG clinics could operate satellite locations, particularly in prisons. The free program was expanded in 1992—though no longer anonymously—to other venereal disease clinics (DAV), maternal and child health centers (PMI), and family planning and education centers (CPEF). This study analyzes only the activity of the CDAG. Tables on all free screening facilities are available from the InVS. (R.A.).
