“Young women play a central role in family life” [Interview]

Little is said about young women in rural areas. The book *Les filles du coin* sheds light on their living conditions and life experiences. While they face significant challenges—such as living far from educational institutions and working in jobs that are predominantly low-skilled, unstable, and part-time, mainly in the care sector—they also benefit from a strong social and friendship network rooted in the local community.
