This article presents the results of the health and substance use survey conducted annually by the French Monitoring Center for Drugs and Drug Addiction (OFDT) since 2000. The survey describes the use of both legal and illegal drugs, particularly cannabis. It allows for the identification of trends by comparing the data with school-based surveys conducted during the 1990s. The objective of this article is to provide information on levels of cannabis use in 2002 and how they have changed over the past decade. A comparison with European data is provided.
