In Nîmes and Beaucaire (Gard), three health mediators reach out to the most vulnerable populations to help them access their rights and healthcare. The mediators’ mission is to improve access to rights, healthcare, and preventive care; to facilitate relationships between patients and healthcare professionals; and to empower individuals and increase their autonomy. The mediator supports the individual in all aspects of their overall health, assisting them with administrative challenges and, in some cases, language barriers, as well as guiding them through their care journey.
