National Registry Committee. Status as of January 1, 2001
"A registry is a continuous and comprehensive collection of personal data pertaining to one or more health events within a defined geographic population, maintained for research and public health purposes by a team with the appropriate expertise." (Decree of November 6, 1995, concerning the National Registry Committee). This article provides an overview of the various French registries that meet this definition.
