Literacy and Public Health: The Case of CMU-C.

A survey shows that a significant proportion of people who are functionally illiterate or facing difficulties do not benefit from the Universal Supplementary Health Coverage (CMU-C) due to a lack of awareness or because they are deterred by the administrative process: their low level of health literacy is a major factor in their lack of access. The involvement of social, administrative, or medical services and professionals is essential to inform, guide, and support these individuals, thereby empowering them to take charge of their own health.
