The E.H.L.A.S.S. System: "The Value of a Data Collection System in Decision-Making"

This article aims to explain the importance of collaboration between data collection agencies and policymakers through two case studies. Indeed, thanks to the EHLASS (European Human and Leisure Accident Surveillance System), which collects data on accidents occurring on playgrounds and those resulting from paragliding, authorities have been able to implement various measures to prevent them (safety standards, public information campaigns, etc.).
