Mammography Practices Among Women Aged 50 to 69: A Comparison Between Departments With and Without Organized Screening Programs.
The study focused on two groups of women aged 50 to 69 who volunteered to participate in a health screening during the first quarter of 2001: a first group of 4,814 women living in a department without an organized screening program (OSP), and a second group of 3,896 women living in a department with an OSP for breast cancer. The comparison focused on mammography practices. In the first group, there was fairly good awareness of the screening program, though awareness was very low among disadvantaged women.
