Bronchiolitis is a seasonal, epidemic respiratory viral infection caused primarily by the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), which circulates in France mainly between October and February. Each year, bronchiolitis affects nearly 30% of infants (460,000 cases in France, 20,000 in Aquitaine). (R.A.)
