  • Very high numbers of emergency department visits and hospitalizations for bronchiolitis, exceeding levels observed during epidemic peaks over the past 10 years.

  • In week 44, hospitalizations for bronchiolitis accounted for 50% of hospitalizations following an emergency department visit among children under two years of age. By comparison, this percentage was approximately 40% during the peaks of previous seasons.

  • Overall, the epidemic is more severe in the northern half of France
