Key Points - Assessment of the Health Situation as of June 28

  • Heat wave risk monitoring: The monitored indicators (illnesses, heat-related indicators, etc.) do not currently show any particular trend.

  • Respiratory disease surveillance: - Asthma: Emergency department activity shows a slight decrease compared to previous weeks - Pneumonia: Low activity - Dyspnea/respiratory failure: Few cases diagnosed in emergency departments or by doctors from the SOS Médecins associations.

  • Vector-borne diseases: Since May 1, 2013, the departments of Aude, Gard, Hérault, and Pyrénées-Orientales, where the tiger mosquito is established, have been subject to enhanced surveillance for chikungunya and dengue. To date, no locally acquired cases have been reported in the Languedoc-Roussillon region.
