Key Points

  • Continued increase in vaccination uptake among infants subject to the expanded vaccination requirement:

    • 87.6% received a first dose of the meningococcal C vaccine (+2.8 percentage points compared to 2019)

    • 90.9% received the booster dose of the meningococcal C vaccine (+3.0 percentage points compared to 2018)

  • Relative stabilization of progress for other vaccines:

    • 88.1% received a third dose of the hexavalent vaccine (+0.6 percentage points compared to 2018)

    • 88.5% received a third dose of the pneumococcal vaccine (-0.3 percentage points compared to 2018)

    • 93.4% received a first dose of the MMR vaccine (+1.1 percentage points compared to 2018)

  • Increase in vaccination coverage among children born before the law took effect:

    • +4.3 percentage points for the first dose of the HPV vaccine among 15-year-old girls born in 2006 (37.9%) compared to girls born in 2005 (33.6%)

    • Increase in catch-up vaccination coverage against meningococcal C across all age groups

  • Increase/stabilization in influenza vaccination coverage compared to the 2019–2020 season:

    • +4.7 percentage points among people aged 65 and older
