In Week 36 (September 5–11, 2022) in Île-de-France, virological indicators stabilized.
The regional incidence rate stood at 119 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, remaining stable for 3 weeks following 6 consecutive weeks of decline. The positivity rate (10.9%) followed the same trend, while the testing rate increased.
The BA.4 and BA.5 sublineages of the Omicron variant are predominant in Île-de-France and accounted for nearly all sequencing results.
Use of primary care and emergency services for “suspected COVID-19” remained stable.
The number of new hospitalizations, the number of new admissions to critical care, and the number of hospital deaths related to COVID-19 continued to decline.
The number of new COVID-19 cases reported by healthcare facilities and the total number of new cases were decreasing.
Monkeypox
As of September 12, 2022, at 12:00 p.m., 2,332 confirmed cases of monkeypox had been recorded in Île-de-France (Region of residence).
