  • Among the 193 cases of acute respiratory infection (ARI) occurring in long-term care facilities (LTCFs) between weeks 20 and 47, none were attributed exclusively to influenza (vs. 13 in France).

Acute Gastroenteritis

  • Activity (all ages) at SOS Médecins clinics has been declining for the past 3 weeks and remains low, similar to that of the previous season.

  • Activity (all ages) in emergency departments is within the range observed during the previous season.

COVID-19

  • The rate of confirmed cases in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté continues to rise: it increased from 36.8 in week 46 to 39.4 per 100,000 inhabitants in week 47. The percentage of activity due to suspected COVID-19 at SOS Médecins clinics is increasing (5.0% vs. 4.5% in week 46). The rate of emergency department visits is rising slightly (1.7% vs. 1.4% in Week 1) and remains low. The proportion of hospitalizations following an emergency department visit is decreasing (39.0% vs. 46.6% in Week 1) and primarily involves those aged 65 and older (81.2%).
