Health Monitoring in the Bourgogne and Franche-Comté Regions. Update as of April 30, 2021.

Key Points

Flu and gastroenteritis surveillance will end starting this week.

COVID-19

Epidemiological indicators for the Covid-19 epidemic remain at a high level. The trend in indicators across the 19 departments that implemented enhanced restrictions starting March 20, 2021, supports the hypothesis that these measures have had a beneficial effect; however, the epidemiological situation in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté is currently less favorable than it was in week 49 of 2020 (one week before the lifting of the second lockdown). It is necessary to maintain prevention and distancing measures, including among vaccinated individuals, given the identification of new variants.

Bronchiolitis

Activity in emergency departments and at SOS Médecins clinics (in terms of volume) is declining but remains higher than in previous seasons during the same period.
