Listening to patients and families: The Île-de-France region is breaking new ground.

In Paris and Seine-Saint-Denis, two innovative initiatives are bringing medical and child welfare professionals into closer contact with patients, families in need, and migrants. "Professional mediators" facilitate dialogue to support children in need (Seine-Saint-Denis) and better address patients' pain (Paris). Meetings between professionals and families help identify needs and tailor medical or psychosocial care accordingly.
