Get closer to your parents and put all suspicions aside.

In a neighborhood of Aubervilliers, a psychiatrist, a nurse, and a psychologist provide support to women before and after childbirth to help them in their role as parents. These women are facing economic hardship; they often need support to assert themselves in their new role as mothers, as well as assistance in building social connections and feeling recognized and valued. The goal of this program is to promote the mental well-being of young children by helping their mothers. Few projects of this kind have been launched in France. Interview with Pilar Arcella-Giraux, public health physician and psychiatrist, Municipal Health and Hygiene Service (SCHS), Aubervilliers City Hall.
