In the Douaisis region, the local mission—in conjunction with the regional health program for young people entering the workforce in Nord-Pas-de-Calais and with the support of the regional health education committee—has established an initiative to promote the health of at-risk youth. The hiring of a psychologist has been a key factor in enabling professionals to better integrate a comprehensive health approach for the benefit of young people seeking support from local missions. As in the Île-de-France region, professionals at the missions receive specialized “health” training.
