Key Points

Asthma Surveillance

  • In emergency departments, asthma-related activity has fluctuated over the past 5 weeks but remains below the levels observed during the same period in previous years.

  • Asthma-related activity reported by SOS Médecins follows the same trend as that in emergency departments. However, in week 17, it tends to remain lower than levels observed during the same period in the two previous years.

Allergy Surveillance

  • Since Week 01, allergy-related activity has been increasing in outpatient care.

  • According to the National Aerobiological Surveillance Network (RNSA), the allergy risk is low, or even very low, in the region.

Carbon monoxide poisoning surveillance

  • During weeks 16 and 17, there were 4 incidents of carbon monoxide poisoning affecting 14 people.

Mortality surveillance

  • As of May 6, 2017, the number of deaths observed in recent weeks falls within the usual range of fluctuation.
