Key Points

COVID-19

  • The incidence rate increased in week 36 of 2022 (216 cases per 100,000 inhabitants compared to 175 in week 34 of 2022), following 9 consecutive weeks of decline.

  • This increase affected all age groups except the oldest (no change for those aged 70–79 and an 11% decrease for those over 80). The increase observed in all other age groups was most pronounced among those aged 0–9 (+114%) and 10–19 (+94%).

  • The positivity rate (18%) remained stable in week 36 of 2022. It saw a slight increase among those aged 0–9 (+10%) and 10–19 (+32%); whereas in other age groups, this rate remained stable or even declined slightly.

  • The testing rate (1,196 cases per 100,000 inhabitants) is increasing across all age groups.

Monkeypox

  • As of September 12, 2022, at 12:00 p.m., 3,833 confirmed cases of monkeypox had been reported in France, including 92 in the Grand Est region.
