In the Grand Est region, the number of new cases rose in week 46 of 2021 (11,239 compared to 5,803 in week 45 of 2021), as did the number of people tested (233,581 in week 46 of 2021 compared to 159,500 in week 45 of 2021). The incidence rate has risen to 203.9 new cases per 100,000 residents, well above the threshold for active virus circulation (set at 50 per 100,000 residents). The positivity rate is also on the rise (4.8% compared to 3.6% in week 45 of 2021).
