Key Points

COVID-19

  • In Week 22, the incidence rate was lower than the consolidated rate for Week 21. The positivity rate was also lower.

  • Excluding virological monitoring indicators, all COVID-19 monitoring indicators (hospitalizations and critical care admissions, SOS Médecins calls, emergency department visits, and COVID-19-related deaths) were stable or declining. The exception was cases reported in ESMS, where a slight increase was observed.

Acute gastroenteritis

  • SOS Médecins: low activity, declining

  • Hospital emergency departments: low activity, declining

Other regional surveillance

  • Chickenpox: activity decreasing at SOS Médecins and increasing in hospital emergency departments.

  • Allergies: activity rising at SOS Médecins and in hospital emergency departments.

  • Asthma (ages 2–14): activity rising at SOS Médecins and in hospital emergency departments.

  • Heat-related illnesses: low activity at SOS Médecins, rising in hospital emergency departments.
