Support works best when it is a joint effort between the teaching staff, the student, and their family [Interview].
Étienne-Mimard High School has established a dropout prevention group, a monitoring unit, and an educational committee—systems designed to provide early warning and collective support for students at risk of dropping out. The goal is to find the most appropriate solutions for each student by engaging local partners. This support is effective, provided that the educational team, the student, and the family work together. However, one challenge remains: this program, which receives financial support from the institution, lacks sufficient resources to address all the needs of students at risk of dropping out.
