Nineteen countries are participating in a major periodic survey designed to assess the impact of tobacco control efforts. France, which is deeply committed to this cause, participated in this study in 2007 and 2008. Analysis of the initial results confirms the public’s engagement in this area and encourages new initiatives by public authorities.
