Supporting parents to prevent parental burnout

Many parents may be affected by parental burnout, which currently affects nearly 6% of people in France, primarily women. This physical and emotional exhaustion, linked to excessive parental stress and a lack of social support, has consequences for the parent’s mental health, the couple’s relationship, and their behavior toward the child, who may become a victim of neglect or abuse. Various programs are being launched to support families in need and take preventive action.
