Algerians, Moroccans—there are 90,000 "elderly migrants" from the Maghreb living in shelters in France. The oldest among them have no access to nursing homes and suffer from undignified living conditions. Anthropologist Omar Hallouche is outraged by this situation: these men must have access to the healthcare system to which they are entitled. And they must be able to grow old and die with dignity “in this country to which they have given so much.”
